Gillian Davidson

Gillian has over 20 years' insurance litigation experience and has spent much of that time handling a range of claims, including major and complex claims. Currently, she manages liability claims where she acts for national and international based insurers, underwriters and self-insured corporations.

She is the key national contact for several clients and her role is instrumental in ensuring consistent and co ordinated legal services are delivered to these clients through all Sparke Helmore's offices.

Her current portfolio includes acting for a range of insured's in their capacity as occupiers of commercial and industrial premises; she also has a well established specialisation in the leisure industry.

In addition to her legal practice, Gillian has been involved in developing innovative quality assurance programs, which assist in the management of claims. These programs include national file audits, training programs and client surveys. She regularly provides training to clients.

Gillian is the immediate past Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance Claims Discussion Group and she remains a committee member. She is also a contributor to the Underwriting Agencies Council newsletter and a regular speaker at conferences on strategic issues impacting the insurance industry.
